If you are looking specifically for guidance on launching and operating a business from your own home, then this book will provide you with a great plan of action. It covers everything you would need to consider from legal & tax implications and financial queries to questions regarding social interaction and work / life balance and sets it out clearly. The degree of relevance of each topic will greatly depend on the type of business you intend to set up. If you are yet to choose your business or are unsure about how you should market your business, you may want to get hold of a book that will get the creative juices flowing, in addition to this one - but for home business set up, this is definitely worth reading.
Detailed info with lots of references April 3, 2010 OrganicGreen (London, United Kingdom) I found this book a good read and was easy to understand. It would take you a good part of a week or a long weekend to complete. It covers all the areas of starting up business from home and makes you consider what is required. I read this book twice and on the second read made notes of all the useful websites it lists throughout.
I would recommend that you first read "Spare Room Start Up" by Emma Jones as this would be better read if you are starting out as it gives a good introduction then read this book for more detail. From reading this book I would say that you would need to read other book that cover marketing and sales more as this book covered market research well but not the other areas.
